Day 1 · WELCOME TO POLAND: WARSAW • WROCŁAW
Arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport. Meet the group and travel to Wrocław, one of Poland’s most beautiful and distinctive cities. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest after the journey. In the evening, a welcome dinner together, during which participants will begin a culinary journey through Poland and have the opportunity to taste traditional Polish dishes. Overnight stay in Wrocław.
Day 2 · WROCŁAW: OLD TOWN • CATHEDRAL ISLAND • RACŁAWICE PANORAMA • ZOO AND AFRYKARIUM
Breakfast. Visit the Racławice Panorama, a monumental painting depicting the 1794 Battle of Racławice and one of the most important works of Polish historical art. Meet a local guide and explore Wrocław’s historic center. Walk through the Market Square to see the historic Town Hall, beautiful colorful townhouses and the most important places connected with the city’s history. Continue to Ostrów Tumski, or Cathedral Island, the oldest part of Wrocław, filled with historic churches and distinctive gas lanterns. In the afternoon, visit Wrocław Zoo and the Afrykarium, an exceptional complex presenting African flora and fauna through enormous aquariums and underwater tunnels. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 · WROCŁAW: JAPANESE GARDEN • CENTENNIAL HALL • PERGOLA • MULTIMEDIA FOUNTAINS
Breakfast. Meet a guide and continue discovering Wrocław. Visit the Japanese Garden, an exceptional place filled with greenery, harmony and tranquility. Continue to Centennial Hall, one of the most important works of 20th-century architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Pergola and the area surrounding the Multimedia Fountain. During the tour, the guide will introduce the history of Wrocław, its multicultural heritage and the city’s transformation after World War II. In the afternoon, free time in central Wrocław for a walk around the Market Square, a café break, shopping or independent exploration. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 · CZĘSTOCHOWA • KRAKÓW • JASNA GÓRA – THE SPIRITUAL CAPITAL OF POLAND
Breakfast. Travel to Częstochowa, the spiritual capital of Poland and one of the country’s most important pilgrimage destinations. Visit Jasna Góra, home to the Pauline monastery and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Częstochowa with the famous icon of the Black Madonna. Tour the most important parts of the sanctuary and learn about its history and significance to Polish faith, tradition and identity. Time for personal reflection, prayer and independent exploration. Continue to Kraków, Poland’s former capital and the city of Polish kings. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 · KRAKÓW: OLD TOWN • WAWEL • MAIN SQUARE • KRAKÓW HERITAGE
Breakfast. Spend the day touring Kraków with a local guide, discovering Poland’s former capital and the city of Polish kings. Begin on Wawel Hill, where we will see Wawel Royal Castle and Wawel Cathedral, both closely connected with the history of Polish monarchs and national heroes. Continue along the Royal Route through the Old Town to see St. Mary’s Basilica, the Main Market Square and the Cloth Hall while learning about the most important events in Kraków’s history. Next, visit the Rynek Underground Museum, a modern multimedia exhibition presenting medieval Kraków and the lives of its residents. Conclude with an electric-cart ride through Kazimierz, the historic district that was an important center of Jewish culture for centuries. During the ride, discover the key monuments and history of this exceptional part of Kraków. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 · OŚWIĘCIM: AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU • WADOWICE
Breakfast. Travel to Oświęcim. Take a guided visit to the grounds of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The visit is one of the most moving moments of the entire journey. Participants will learn the history of the camp, the fate of its prisoners and the enormity of the tragedy that affected millions of people during World War II. It will also be a moment for reflection on the history of Poland, Europe and the world, and on the importance of remembering the victims. Continue to Wadowice, the hometown of Karol Wojtyła, later Pope John Paul II. Walk through the town and visit places connected with his childhood. Visit the Holy Father John Paul II Family Home Museum and the church where he was baptized. Sample the famous Wadowice cream cake. After the visit, return to Kraków. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 · WIELICZKA • POLISH TRADITION • SALT MINE
Breakfast and check-out. Travel to Wieliczka. Visit the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of Poland’s most important landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The underground route leads through chambers, chapels, subterranean lakes and remarkable sculptures carved from salt. After the tour, continue toward Zakopane. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 · ZAKOPANE: PODHALE • HIGHLANDER CULTURE • GUBAŁÓWKA
Breakfast. Explore Zakopane, Poland’s winter capital and a center of highlander culture. Walk along Krupówki, the city’s main street, filled with regional shops, restaurants and handicraft stalls. Ride the funicular to Gubałówka, which offers one of the finest views of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. Discover the traditions and culture of the people of Podhale, including their distinctive architecture, clothing, music, crafts and cuisine. There will be an opportunity to taste regional products such as oscypek smoked cheese. In the evening, enjoy a special highlander-style dinner with traditional music and regional dishes, together with a presentation of highlander costumes and dances. Overnight stay.
Day 9 · THE TATRA MOUNTAINS • TATRA NATIONAL PARK VALLEY • THERMAL POOLS
Breakfast. A day devoted to the natural beauty of the Tatra Mountains and relaxation among the peaks. Walk through one of the valleys of Tatra National Park (Strążyska, Kościeliska or Chochołowska). During the excursion, enjoy panoramic views of the Tatras and learn about the nature of the Polish mountains. In the afternoon, travel to the thermal pools for time to relax in warm thermal waters with mountain views. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 · ZAKOPANE • WARSAW – FAREWELL TO SOUTHERN POLAND
Breakfast and check-out. A final morning in Podhale, with time to purchase regional souvenirs, cheeses, handicrafts and other products characteristic of the region. Travel to Warsaw. Hotel check-in. In the evening, a farewell dinner together to reflect on the shared journey through southern Poland. Overnight stay.
Day 11 · FAREWELL, POLAND!
Breakfast. Check-out. Transfer to Warsaw Chopin Airport. The journey together comes to an end.
