Itinerary & experience

Day 1 · WELCOME TO POLAND – WARSAW

Arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport. Meet the group and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and time to rest after the journey. In the evening, a welcome dinner together, during which participants will have their first opportunity to sample traditional Polish dishes. Overnight stay.

Day 2 · ROYAL WARSAW

Breakfast. Visit King John III Sobieski’s Palace at Wilanów, one of the most beautiful royal residences in Poland. Continue to the Royal Łazienki Park, home to the famous Palace on the Isle, monuments and picturesque gardens. The next stop is PGE Narodowy, one of Warsaw’s most recognizable contemporary landmarks. After sightseeing, free time in central Warsaw for a walk, shopping, coffee or exploring the city independently. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 · WARSAW OLD TOWN AND HISTORY

Breakfast. Meet a local guide for several hours of sightseeing in Warsaw. The walk begins in the Old Town, rebuilt after being almost completely destroyed during World War II. The program includes the Old Town Market Square, the exterior of the Royal Castle, the Little Insurgent Monument, Krakowskie Przedmieście, the exteriors of the Presidential Palace and Belweder, and the most important places connected with Warsaw’s history. During the walk, the guide will discuss prewar Warsaw, World War II, the Warsaw Uprising and the city’s extraordinary reconstruction. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 · POLISH VODKA, THE PRL ERA AND WARSAW “BEHIND THE SCENES”

Breakfast. Today we discover the city from the era of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL). Visit the Polish Vodka Museum to learn the history of one of Poland’s best-known products and its significance in Polish culture. Continue to the Museum of Life under Communism for a journey back to the years of the Polish People’s Republic. We will see objects, photographs and elements of everyday Polish life during the communist era. The day concludes with a special attraction: a ride through Warsaw aboard a vintage “Ogórek,” the iconic bus associated with the PRL period. Free time in Warsaw. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 · MASURIA – IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF HISTORY

Breakfast and check-out. Travel to Masuria. Visit the Wolf’s Lair at Gierłoż, one of Hitler’s most important headquarters during World War II. A guided tour will reveal the history of this remarkable place and the events that unfolded here during the war. Continue to Reszel to visit its historic castle. Travel onward to Mikołajki, one of Masuria’s best-known resort towns. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 · MASURIA – THE LAND OF A THOUSAND LAKES

Breakfast. Take a guided walk through Giżycko, one of the region’s most important towns. Learn about the city’s history and the significance of Masuria as a land set among lakes and forests. Continue to Święta Lipka, one of Poland’s most important Marian sanctuaries, renowned for its beautiful Baroque architecture and remarkable organ. Return to the hotel. In the evening, time to relax and the opportunity for an independent walk through Mikołajki. Dinner with a tasting of traditional Polish cuisine, accompanied by Polish music and dancing. Overnight stay.

Day 7 · MASURIAN LAKE CRUISE • MALBORK CASTLE • GDAŃSK

Breakfast and check-out. Enjoy one of the most picturesque attractions of the entire journey: a cruise on the Masurian lakes. Take in the landscapes, forests and lakes characteristic of this exceptional region of Poland. Continue to Malbork. Visit Malbork’s Teutonic Castle, one of the world’s largest medieval brick structures and the former seat of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order. During the tour, discover more than seven centuries of the castle’s history, the Teutonic Order, and the lands where different cultures and peoples met over the centuries. Continue to Gdańsk. Check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 · GDAŃSK – HISTORY, SOLIDARITY AND THE BALTIC

Breakfast. Meet a guide for a walk through Gdańsk’s historic center. The program includes the Golden Gate, Długa Street, the Long Market, Artus Court, the Crane and Mariacka Street. Continue to the European Solidarity Centre, dedicated to the history of the Solidarity movement and the transformations that led to the fall of communism in Poland and played an enormous role in European history. In the afternoon, time for a walk along the Baltic Sea and relaxation on the beach. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 · WESTERPLATTE • SOPOT • GDYNIA

Breakfast. Travel to Westerplatte, a site that became one of the most important symbols of the outbreak of World War II. Visit the grounds of the former Military Transit Depot. Return to Gdańsk by a very special route: a cruise aboard a ship styled after a 17th-century galleon. Enjoy sea-shanty music on board and views of Gdańsk and Gdańsk Bay. Continue to Sopot. Walk along Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street to the famous wooden Sopot Pier, with views over Gdańsk Bay. Continue to Gdynia for a walk along the Seaside Boulevard beside the Baltic shore. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 · TORUŃ – THE CITY OF COPERNICUS AND GINGERBREAD

Breakfast and check-out. Travel to Toruń, one of Poland’s most beautiful medieval cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meet a guide and walk through the historic center. Discover the city’s history and its most famous resident, Nicolaus Copernicus. Toruń is also renowned for its gingerbread-making tradition, and the visit offers an opportunity to explore this distinctive part of Polish heritage. After sightseeing, travel to Warsaw. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay in Warsaw.

Day 11 · FAREWELL, POLAND!

Breakfast. Check-out and transfer to Warsaw Chopin Airport. The journey together comes to an end, followed by departure for the United States.
